Is baseboard removal necessary to install my new carpet and do I have to place all my furniture outside in the winter

Here is a transcription, if you prefer to read instead:

“Hi, Don Lovato back again. One of the big things that a lot of our clients do is they delay. We find that before they come to us, they’ve delayed 10, 15, 20 years in getting their new carpet or flooring, specifically carpet. What they thought they had to do was take baseboards off in the house to put carpet in. Thankfully, in most cases, probably 99 times out of 100 they’re in there for cosmetic reasons. They’re not in there for any structural reasons. They don’t keep the carpet down. They don’t hold it down or anything like that. So they’re there just strictly for cosmetic reasons. So a lot of clients thought they had to budget for it and didn’t wanna hassle with it, especially with finding a painter to come in and touch them up later and that sort of thing. So that’s one.

Another one is sometimes they feel they need to move all of their furniture outdoors all at one time. And nothing could be further from the truth. What we do is we have, you as a client, we’ll have you prep the spaces. We’ll have you unload and make them lighter so to speak, get all of the electronics and stuff like that out of the way. We’ll come in and we’ll go ahead and move all of the furniture room by room. Now, we’ll have to have all of the rooms prepped at one time, of course, but then we’ll take furniture from one room to another and then we’ll go ahead and get the flooring done, and then we can move that right back in for you. So not a big deal. So don’t delay just because there’s inclement weather or because you think that baseboards have to be removed. Again, nothing could be further from the truth. We’re here to help. Just give us a call, and we’ll be glad to help.”
