“Common question we get after the installation is, “Why is my carpet shedding so much?” Well, during the manufacturing process there is a lot of loose fiber left in the carpet. For that reason even after we install it and vacuum it, there is still a lot of loose fiber. It will shed for maybe a week or two, a little bit here and there. But it’s not common with a continuous filament fiber for that to continue. Now, staple fibers or spun yarn that is very common. It’s inherent in the carpet. It is not a defect, but it is very common. We try to let people know that in advance so that way you don’t get any kind of surprises if that were to happen in your installation.”
